'Red Tribal Ware' REW, porcelain and stoneware, 24 cm dia and 15-17 cm H, 2008.

With ‘Tribal Ware’ I created surfaces that are fragmented and yet singular in character. Within the body I apply different kinds of clay: high-fired porcelain, cranck and slip cast red earthenware. They cut through the sharp cylindrical shape in a structured but informal manner. The different textures and colours are in contrast with, but at the same time part of the object.
